|
- Provide alternatives for student payments and ensure justifiable student fees
- Establish the Student Council Loan Program (SCLP) that will offer financial services for tuition (SCAF), services (SCCS), thesis and research
- Evaluate the policies on financial assistance to ensure equitable grants for all Lasallians
- Push for the implementation of the Comprehensive Price Review (CPR) to ensure justifiable student fees*
- Engage the student body in the critical evaluation of academic programs
- Actively involve student participation in university programs that ensure effectiveness of teaching methods
- Restructure the Curriculum Review for the Academic Development of the Lasallian Education (CRADLE) in order to ensure relevance and effectiveness of degree programs
- Collaborate university efforts for quality OJT/Practicum/Internship Programs

- Push for justifiable revisions in the Student Handbook*
- Lobby for more efficient ID policies such as satellite offices and multiple-entry passes
- Redefine the classification of deadly weapons
- Remove minor offenses in locker rentals
- Allow students with 0 accumulated failures to graduate with honors
- Review DO apprehension and investigation procedures
- Redefine the parameters of the eating policy
- Heighten student-oriented services and utilization of resources
- Lobby for the Student Services Charter* which will include, but are not limited to:
- Non-academic Grievance System
- Canteen Policy
- E-purse
- Services Feedback System
- Establish the Student Services Research Committee (SSRC) to conceptualize and implement services relevant to the students*
- Ensure quality student participation in academic and non-academic competitions by reviving the winners’ pool*
- Lobby for the institutionalization of the Student Leadership Program (SLP)*
- Fight for the removal of the Rental Fees Policy
- Remove unjustifiable policies in the Activities Manual

Ensure an autonomous and genuine student government by pushing for an internal revamp of the Student Council |

- Lobby for the implementation of the University Student Government (USG)*
- Revise the internal structure of the activities assembly to promote a political and advocacy-based student government
- Study the feasibility of having an autonomous, independent judiciary body in the Student Council through the merging of the Officers Monitoring Board (OMB) and the Ethics Committee
- Overhaul the Legislative Assembly (LA) structure for more effective student representation in policy-making
- Strengthen the communication and collaboration among sectors for a more productive student body
- Demand support from the administration in mobilizing student-led activities*
- Reinforce the Streamlining Committee on Research of Activities and Programs (SCRAP) to reduce redundancy in activities

Foster a sense of collaboration, nationalism and accountability in the Lasallian Community

- Intensify voters’ education in the Lasallian community in preparation for the 2010 presidential elections
- Intensively encourage voters’ registration among eligible voters in the Lasallian community
- Use regular round-table discussion as a tool for the critical assessment and evaluation of current and future government platforms
- Conduct performance appraisal of government officials for better transparency and accountability
- Optimize resource sharing through the network of La Salle schools
- Do initiatives to help fulfill the Lasallian Youth Agenda (LaYA)
- Establish a union of Student Councils from La Salle schools
- Pool library resources, particularly for online subscriptions, among La Salle schools
- Expand advocacies to other La Salle campuses
- Maximize participation in alliances for effective student mobilization
- Expanding advocacies across the universities, particularly those on students’ rights and welfare
- Actively support the lobbying of the Students’ Rights and Welfare (STRAW) Bill
- Use the alliances as a venue for the discussion of student issues and as a platform for student-led legislation
- Tap core competencies of each college for more sustainable holistic community development initiatives
- Support current La Salle initiatives (such as the One Million Trees project) and pioneer research initiatives for the environment
- Conduct alternative livelihood programs for partner communities
- Initiate long-term literacy programs for basic reading, writing and computer skills
- Advocate health and family planning among poor communities
