TAPAT was established on 16 August 1985, during the time when student activism was at its peak. Several activism organizations established TAPAT by pooling their resources and manpower to be able to field students who are worthy enough to run for the Student Council and are willing to pursue and uphold the principles and belief of these allied organizations since all of them believed in, basically the same things. This is the reason why TAPAT is named “alyansa”, since it literally was an alliance when it started out. Last update: 13-06-2009 05:40

Why ORANGE? Orange is a color made by mixing red and yellow. Red symbolizes courage, while yellow symbolizes justice. Why ORANGE against BLACK? Tapat believes that it is in the darkness, where light shines the brightest. Why SALMON? Tapat is like the salmon that goes upstream against the current, we are not afraid to face the odds.
